Church Signs

Custom church signs that welcome your community

• Church monument signs
• Illuminated and neon signs
• Building and wall letters
• Interior and wayfinding signs

Your sign is often the first impression your church makes on visitors and the neighborhood. A well-designed church sign should pull elements from your building's architecture and your congregation's identity for a cohesive look and feel. It also helps first-time visitors find you and holds up to years of Northwest weather. We've designed and built church signs across the Puget Sound, from monument signs with readerboards to custom neon crosses. Our Jesus Saves neon sign is one of our most popular pieces, and we get calls about it from churches across the country.

Church Sign FAQs

How much does a church sign cost?

It depends on where you're starting. Do you already have a design? Do you know what type of sign you need? Do you know what you want it to look like? The more of that is settled, the faster and more accurately we can price it. Don't have it all figured out yet? That's what our concept design and master planning is for. We'll work through those questions with you and turn your ideas into a design we can price accurately. That's especially helpful when a building committee or congregation needs to see the sign before approving it.

Keep in mind that the sign is only part of the project budget. Permits, engineering, the foundation, electrical service, and installation all come out of the same pot. If your overall budget is $30,000, your sign budget is less than that. We'll help you map out the full picture up front so there are no surprises.

Working with a firm number, like a capital campaign goal? Thoughtful material choices can achieve the look you want for less. For example, brushed aluminum can be real hand-brushed aluminum, a brushed aluminum laminate, or paint. Each option delivers the design intent at a different price point.

Can our sign show service times and announcements?

Yes. A readerboard with changeable letters or a digital message center lets you share service times, events, and messages with everyone who drives by. Many cities have specific rules for digital displays, especially near homes, so we check what's allowed early in the design.

Do churches need a sign permit?

Almost always. Many churches sit in or near residential zones, where size, lighting, and digital display rules can be stricter. Lit signs need an electrical permit too. We check the local sign code early so there are no surprises.

Should our church sign be lit?

If you hold evening services or events, or want to be seen during our long Northwest winters, lighting keeps your sign working around the clock. We'll help you choose a lighting option that fits your site, neighbors, and budget.
