| Recent Projects, Vacation Fun & Adoptions (huh?) | ||
Its been a very busy couple of months since I was able to get a newsletter out and there are a few projects I would like to share with you - Everything from HDU routed signage, Corian, and custom aluminum cabinets. Thanks for letting me share our work, I look forward to your feedback and working with you on future projects. To learn more about us you can go to our web site at nwsigns.com, shoot me an email or give me a call at (425) 896-8586
HDU Halo lit Signs Crossroads Bar & Grill - This sign was a design collaboration between us and the clients designer which is often difficult and ends with less than desirable results but this sign design survived the ordeal and the final result is fantastic. Fabricated from HDU and aluminum the background has a faux wood texture which is subtle but adds a great accent while also breaking up the halo lighting for a better wash. "Bar and Grill" is an aluminum cabinet with acrylic push through letters, all lit with white LEDs. |

Corian Routed Signs The Patrick's Faire neighborhood has had continuous vandalism issues with their signs and left both of their entrance monuments looking pretty sad with most of the lettering and some stones missing. Knowing that new individual lettering would be to much of a temptation for local letter collectors we proposed a solid panel with routed and painted letters. These signs are Corian solid surface panels with recessed and painted letters and an anti-graffiti clear coat. The solution covers all the existing issues without requiring the stones to be replaced and is much more resistant to vandals. |

HDU Routed Signs The South Lake Sammamish neighborhood signs are single HDU panels routed to several layers with a faux wood grain texture in the main letters to simulate a sandblasted look - if you did not already know, you would swear these were wood. The water jet cut herons are 1/4" aluminum with feathers and textures sanded into the surface and clear coated. For strength these are hung from a steel welded frame that is embedded into the sign - we often see these hung with eye bolts which are prone to failure in the future which makes the internal frame well worth the extra cost. |

Family Fun And finally, our family had a bit of fun in Long Beach and we were blessed with a few days of sun so we broke out the shovel (everyone takes a shovel to the beach right?) and started on our giant sand lizard which was about 8 feet long before the tide returned and washed it away. I was able to convince some young beach goers that they may want to keep their distance - he might wake up any time! The texture, mastered by my oldest son in contrast with the smooth beach made it really come alive - good fun. |

Adoption Auction - we need your help! We are excited about adding to our family and are working through the adoption process with Antioch Adoptions which is a no fee adoption agency. Adopting is usually very expensive but Antioch's mission is to get kids out of the foster system and into loving families and they do it at no cost to the adopting family! To help cover their costs they are having a benefit auction - I am looking for either products and services to be donated for the Auction or come out and enjoy some great food and the auction - let me know if you can help in any way - (425) 896-8586 or brian@nwsigns.com
